I saw this on yoo toob and could not figure why this happens. Any of you expert mechanics (of which we have many) know what would cause this? (reason I ask is cause it will probably happen to me, with my luck)

seems like something is triggering the ABS to me.

that is too close to the floor to be able to lift it like that. Probably a myriad of issues, but likely a short to the abs pump causes it to pulsate without input from the controller

Makes sense, I guess. ABS is still kind of a mystery to me. So would yanking the ABS fuse stop that?

I would say yes. The pump would be disabled, therefore not so erratic.

Thanks. In case it happens to me. At least I will have a bail-out.

had a similar issue with a basket case Escape (with a cracked speed sensor ring) I owned this summer, pulled the fuse out and it stopped on a dime without trying to kill me.

Simplify, and I'm good with that. I spent most of my life driving in winter conditions without ABS. Somehow, I think I can still stop without it. Thanks.

i agree with 505 comment or something is messed up with the sensor causing it to flip.

Well it's obvious that the brake pedal wishes it was a sewing machine...

Cutting out the ABS is not a an issue. A couple couplers, a Y connector, some line and done, manual braking. (Stupid me, didn't pinch off the brake line when compressing the pads on the front disc brakes, and blew crapola into the ABS unit - dead unit after that, they are somewhat sensitive.)
